Life Happens

Fotolia prison 300x225 Life HappensWelcome to a new month!

It’s a great month for us at DV SOUL as we celebrate 3 years of sharing and uplifting you with biblical articles, edifying music and thought provoking clips showcased in our video blog. God has been kind to us, enabling us to spread our tentacles to our brothers in UK prisons, Orphaned homes in Ilorin and Abuja (Nigeria) and using us to reach and touch various lives around us. Serving God is the most rewarding thing ever.

Amidst all these, we have had our fair share of ups and downs. Some of which make us feel deserted, others give us hope and the rest just make us realize we still have a praise on the inside.

If you don’t know by now, you should know that God formed you and I and everyone of us is already pre-destined for greatness. There is a talent, a calling, a passion, a skill inside every one of us, so much that we may even miss it if we are not carefully conscious of it. And as you also know, we have different phases and stages of achieving our greatness and the length of time it takes to achieve is relative to every individual.

Waking up and realizing that the year is almost gone and having one particular calling almost fulfilled but sometimes it seems the length of time to achieve this calling seemed longer than I expected. At a point, life happened to me. I lost track, lost hope and placed the dream on a shelve somewhere. I thought that that would be the best way to deal with it and whenever God felt he was ready, He can go ahead and bring it down from the shelve, where I dumped it.

Reading and meditating on my ‘why me God’ moments, my heart drew to the WORD, and God saying ‘trails and tribulation is a must, however cheer up, I have overcome. God goes on to say that they shall surely gather, but whoever gathers must surely fall for your sake. You know, I imagined being married to Jesus and wondered what he would tell me anytime I came to him with words like- “Honey, I can’t do this anymore or Honey, what’s wrong with me or Honey, when am I going to achieve my dream”. I am sure he will say to me “Sweetheart, Cheer UP!!. Being married to Jesus is my best imaginations yet because I could see that with and in HIM, there are no worries, doubts, disappointments or sorrow. And even if there were, I am 100% sure I will survive it. Why, because I am, and always will be on the winning side and I am sure Jesus will forever want me to know and remember this.

Life happens to many of us, it can be the loss of dear one, the end of a relationship, loss of a job, challenge in health or finances or family, or waiting for what may seem like endlessly for a dream, a promise or a WORD to come through however I need you to be encouraged as you read this. LISTEN!, God loves you, nothing, and I mean, nothing can separate you from his love, you are the apple of his eyes and he will always ensure your end is better off than your beginning.

When Life happens, it could mean so many things but it never means you are forgotten, you are not blessed or you are not worthy. Look at it as a light affliction, needed for now but taking you somewhere tomorrow, and in God!

From this moment, be like the sky- airplanes can go through, storms can roar, winds can rumble through but nothing sticks or stays for long, it has to pass on for us to see it the way God created it to be- A clear, blue sky!
